I am trying to commission a Safety Monitor with 3 safety slaves and 2 standard slaves. The Safety Monitor is Siemens 3RK1105-1BE04-2CA0. The ASi Master is Siemens DP/ASi Link 6GK1-415-2BA10. The Safety slaves are Siemens 3RK1205-0BQ00-0AA3. The Asi Master indicates no problems with any slave addresses. The ASIMON software indicates all slave addresses are present. The configuration check outs and downloads OK. All of the safety devices are present and their circuits are closed. All of the safety signals are present. But the “Teach” function fails on all but one slave address. If I rearrange the slaves and readdress them, the problem follows the physical slave devices. These are brand new components.
Could the slave devices be defective? What more can I do to resolve this problem?
