Brod Bass is Managing Director of H.Kuhnke Ltd and a member of the AS-I Expert Alliance. Kuhnke is the company, in Germany, which first developed a pneumatic I/O device for use on ASI in 1998. All other pneumatic devices which interface with fieldbuses are old technology with a comms card added as an afterthought. The Kuhnke pneumatic I/O device is known as an Airbox and is branded for several other leading names in automation. Our specialist expertise is therefore in the use of ASI with pneumatic devices.
